A manager of a ply factory was shot in leg by unknown gunmen in Thoubal district of Manipur on Saturday. The police report said that the incident occurred today around 5 PM in Wangjing Sabal Loukon of Thoubal district. The victim is working as a manager in a ply factory and a native of Assam. The unidentified gunmen shot two bullets in his leg and the victim is getting treatment in a hospital in Imphal.
Further, the report said that the manager was abducted from the factory along with a lady worker last night by the armed miscreants. Later, he was shot in the leg and abandoned in the Wangjing Sabal Loukol this evening. The PBS Ply Factory belongs to a local MLA. The Police registered a case and investigation has been initiated.
