In Manipur, the Sadbhavana Diwas commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was observed. The main function was organised by the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and held at Congress Bhavan in Imphal today.

The President of MPCC, CLP leader and former Chief Minister of Manipur O. Ibobi, and member of Steering Committee AICC Gaikhangam led others in floral tribute to the former Prime Minister.

The President of MPCC- K. Meghachandra said that the main objective of Diwas is peace, communal harmony, and unity and these three themes are related to the present situation of Manipur. The day has reminded all of us that different communities living in the country should unite to work for the development of the country.
