In Manipur, the State Police conducted search operations in the vulnerable and fringe areas of the State in the last twenty-four hours and recovered seven arms, forty-five ammunitions and three bombs.
 
A Police report said that armed miscreants fired at Phougakchao Ikhai and Terakhongsangbi of Bishnupur district and Kanvai of Churachandpur district yesterday. During the exchange of firing, two persons sustained injuries. The security forces fired retaliatory rounds and repelled the miscreants.

The report said that 131 checkpoints were installed in different districts of Manipur and movement of more than one thousand vehicles on two national highways with essential items have been ensured with security convoy.
