In Manipur, Police and Central forces conducted a search operation in vulnerable and fringe areas of both valley and hill districts during which seven illegal bunkers were destroyed. The security forces launched an operation in Phaileng area of Kangpokpi district and recovered some arms and ammunition. In the meantime, police arrested nine persons in connection with the death of a woman in Imphal East district yesterday.
 
Separately, suspected armed Kuki militants fired indiscriminately in the adjoining area of Irengbam and Tingkhai Khullen of Bishnupur district today. State Police retaliated and an exchange of bullets took place.  

In Imphal West district, armed miscreants stationed at Phailen Kuki village fire bullets towards adjoining villages today. The village defence volunteers retaliated.
