In Manipur, the mass burial service of mortal remains of those Kuki-Zo killed in ethnic violence could not take place today at Torbung area situated in the adjoining area of Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts. The Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum (ITLF) has made five demands to the Home Ministry and said, the burial service will be done after five days if the demands are met.
 
The Union Home Ministry has appealed to both the communities to remain calm and restored normalcy in Manipur. It also said that the Ministry will resolve the issue amicably to the satisfaction of all parties within a period of seven days.
