In Manipur, Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited the INA War Memorial Complex and INA HQ memorial sites at Moirang today. This is the first time, Mr. Acharya visited the memorial site since he assumed the charge of the Governor last month. The Governor visited the Museum, Library, War Photo Gallery and Replica Gallery of the INA War Memorial. He also visited the building at Moirang, which was used as INA Headquarters during the Second World War.
Speaking to the media persons, the Governor said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose made supreme sacrifice for the nation and India gained independence after sacrificing many lives. The younger generation should remember the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
Mr. Acharya said that the Central Government has been developing lakes in India including Loktak Lake of Manipur to generate employment through the tourism industry.
