Four teachers were conferred State Level Teacher's Awards at the event celebrating Teachers' Day at Imphal, Manipur on Tuesday. 

It may be mentioned that one teacher of an Upper Primary School situated in the Bishnupur district of Manipur has been honoured with the National Award to Teachers on the occasion.

The State Minister of Education, Thounaojam Basanta Kumar handed over the award to the selected State teacher. The awards carried rupees fifty thousand, a certificate, and a memento.
 
The Teachers' Day celebration was held in most of the schools and colleges of the State.
