In Manipur, the election authority has taken all measures to conduct the second phase of Lok Sabha polls in thirteen Assembly segments in eight districts of Manipur Outer Parliamentary Constituency the day after tomorrow.
The polling personnel and security personnel deputed for the polling stations in Tamenglong, Ukhrul, and Kamjong have left the district headquarters today for their designated polling stations. The polling teams for far-flung areas started their journey to designated polling stations for the upcoming second phase of the Lok Sabha Election 2024. The polls will be conducted at 856 polling stations including special polling stations set up for Internally Displaced Persons during the second phase polls.
Four candidates including Congress, the Naga Peoples’ Front and two Independent candidates are in the fray for the lone Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency seat. Meanwhile, the election authority has announced that the election campaigning for the second phase polls has ended this evening at 4 PM in Manipur.
