Four out of five major Asian indices ended in negative today. Singapore’s Straits Times index as well as China’s Shanghai Composite Index, both fell 0.43 percent each, Japan’s Nikkei ended marginally low by 0.08 percent and South Korea’s Kospi ended flat. Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 0.34 percent. Major European indices were trading in positive territory. Germany’s DAX was trading up by 0.8 percent, London’s FTSE added over 0.7 percent, and France’s CAC advanced nearly half percent, when reports last came in.
