Four out of five major Asian indices ended on a strong note. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index jumped four per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index surged nearly three and a half per cent, South Korea’s Kospi and Japan’s Nikkei advanced more than two and a half per cent. Meanwhile, Singapore’s Straits Times Index witnessed a slim loss of 0.03 per cent.
Major European indices were trading in positive territory. France’s CAC 40 rose more than one and a half per cent, Germany’s DAX was trading more than one per cent up, and London’s FTSE increased 0.2 per cent when the reports last came in.
