Maharashtra has recorded an average voter turnout of 32.18 percent till 1 PM. The highest voting has been recorded in Gadchiroli district where 50.89 percent voting has been registered, while Jalgaon district has recorded the lowest turnout of 27.88 percent.
The by-elections for the Nanded Lok Sabha seat is also taking place in Maharashtra. 27.25 percent voting has been recorded in the Nanded Lok Sabha seat till 1 PM. The by-election for the Nanded Lok Sabha seat was necessitated due to the death of member of parliament Vasant Chavan in August this year.
