Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stated that Maharashtra is a key player in India’s vision of Viksit Bharat. Addressing the inauguration of the state’s first semiconductor manufacturing OSAT plant in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, Mr. Shinde described Maharashtra as an industry-friendly state and emphasised the importance of semiconductor chips in everyday life. This project, being developed by the RRP Group of Industries in two phases, will see a cumulative investment of 36,573 crore rupees from the Maharashtra government.
Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the significance of the semiconductor industry, noting that for India to become a global player, it must develop its own chip industry.
