The Maharashtra government will bring a law to set up a Kumbh Mela Authority on the lines of Uttar Pradesh as part of its grand preparations for Kumbh Mela 2027. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis informed this in a meeting in Nashik yesterday. He said, in this regard a law will soon be introduced. This will provide a legal framework for Kumbh Mela-related projects and facilitate effective crowd management.
Mr Fadnavis said, elaborate plans for the development of the Trimbakeshwar temple complex will also be undertaken. He stressed on fast-tracking the first phase of the planned development work for Trimbakeshwar, in connection with the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
Various Ministers MLAs, Administrative heads CEO of Zilla Parishad among others were present in the meeting.
