Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais distributes AI-based smart glasses to 100 visually impaired students at Malad

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais asserted that artificial intelligence will be a boon for the divyangs. While distributing AI-based smart glasses to 100 visually impaired students at Malad in Mumbai on Saturday, he emphasized that technological advancements will bring positive changes to the lives of the disabled, making their daily lives easier.

 

Governor Bais highlighted that one in eight people worldwide is disabled in some way, and two percent of India’s population is disabled. He stressed that making the disabled self-reliant is essential for India to become a developed nation.

 

The smart glasses, priced at around Rs 20,000, will assist visually impaired students in studying, commuting to school, and performing other daily tasks. These glasses are equipped with lenses, processors, and speakers.
