Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais has appealed to citizens to come together to create a new, prosperous and strong Maharashtra. He was addressing Maharashtra’s 65th foundation day function at Shivaji Park in Mumbai today. He observed a parade where officers and Jawans from all the forces participated. The Governor offered tributes to the saints, seers, social reformers and martyrs who laid their lives for the creation of the state. He said, one can have a glimpse of India through the diversity of Maharashtra which is one of the States with highest literacy. Mr Bais said, Geographical condition of Maharashtra is conducive to industrial development and Maharashtra has always been a centre of attraction for investments, be it domestic or foreign. He said, Maharashtra is one of the leading States when it comes to agriculture, industrial products and manufacturing, trade and transportation. He also appealed to citizens to cast their vote in General Election 2024. Governor also congratulated all the laborers who have made invaluable contributions in the making of Maharashtra and the country.
Various functions are organized all over the state where Guardian Ministers, District Collectors and other dignitaries participated in the official function. Various voter awareness programmes are also being organized to increase voting percentage in the state.
