The five-year comprehensive plan for the determination of sites for starting colleges and institutes for higher education in non-agricultural university areas was approved on Wednesday (30 August 2023) in a meeting of the State Commission for Higher Education and Development (MAHED).
According to the plan, colleges can be started at 1 thousand 499 places in the state this year. The comprehensive Samyak Yojana prepared by the University every five years is approved by the Commission. Accordingly, the annual plan proposal for 2024-25 and the comprehensive outline of the five-year plan from 2024 to 29 was discussed in this meeting in accordance with the Samyak Yojana.
There were 1,537 new proposed sites in the five-year destination plan for 2024 to 2029, out of which 1,499 sites have qualified and the plan was approved today.
