Campaigning has picked up pace for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections due to be held on 20th November. The ruling coalition of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP has released a ten-point agenda to build a prosperous Maharashtra with a focus on providing economic relief to farmers, employment to youth and social security for senior citizens. The alliance has further promised to increase the monthly allowances for women under the “Ladki Bahin” scheme from 1,500 to 2,100 rupees. Taking this a step further, the NCP today unveiled constituency-specific manifestos for all the 52 assembly seats it is contesting.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Nagpur this afternoon, where he reiterated his party’s promise of holding a caste census and removing the 50 percent reservation cap to ensure social justice. In his second rally in Mumbai, Mr Gandhi released a five-point promise targeting youth and women.
BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a couple of rallies in Amravati, where he urged voters to keep nationalism and good governance in mind while casting their vote.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde addressed party workers in his bastion of Thane district and asked them to conduct door to door campaign for all Mahayuti candidates.
