Maharashtra Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, yesterday performed Bhoomipujan for various development works worth Rs 547 crore in the Bhandara district. The various development projects include the first phase of the Water Tourism Centre, an underground drainage scheme, and the beautification of lakes at Bhandara and Pavani under the Amrit Yojana, among others.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that 102 crore rupees have been allocated to water tourism projects. He expressed confidence that these initiatives will significantly boost tourism in the district and create substantial employment opportunities. Along with water tourism on the Wainganga River in Bhandara district, the Chief Minister announced that he would approve the plan to increase water tourism in the Wainganga reservoir.
