Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde claimed that after coming to power, his government brought Maharashtra to the top position in terms of foreign investment, industries, and women’s empowerment, among other areas. Addressing the Dasara Melava of Shiv Sena held at Azad Maidan today, which he referred to as the ‘Azad Melava’ of ‘Azad Shiv Sena’, Mr Shinde mentioned various schemes for farmers, women, and youth, as well as work done in the infrastructure sector. He blamed the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government for stalling these projects.

Mr Shinde challenged the MVA to showcase their work before the people of Maharashtra and to compare it with his tenure. He also stated that he, along with his supporters, rebelled against the then Uddhav Thackeray government due to the injustice inflicted upon real Shiv Sainiks, under the guiding principles of Balasaheb Thackeray. Had he not taken this action, he claimed, Maharashtra would have regressed by several years.
