Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday (5th July 2024) announced a cash reward of 11 crore rupees to the Indian cricket team. Four players from the Indian team which includes Skipper Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal were honoured and felicitated by the Maharashtra Government and Maharashtra Legislature in the central hall of Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde lauded the performance of the Indian team for winning all the matches in the T20 World Cup tournament.
