Maharashtra CM calls for eco-friendly Ganpati festival, directs for repair of processions roads

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today called for an eco-friendly Ganpati festival in the state. He issued directions to repair procession roads using the rapid-setting hardener material, cut the obscuring tree branches, increase the number of synthetic ponds, and deploy health teams, ambulances, and fire brigade vehicles near the big Ganpati mandals. Mr. Shinde participated in a review meeting in Mumbai today regarding the upcoming Ganesh festival. Addressing the meeting, Mr. Shinde said that no fees should be charged for public Ganesh mandals and to implement a one-window scheme to grant necessary permissions to Ganesh mandals. He also stated that vehicles taking Ganesh devotees to their native towns should be exempted from the toll.
