Maharashtra Campaign Updates: Leaders Criticize Modi Govt Policies

In Maharashtra, at Shrigonda in Ahmednagar district NCP leader Sharad Pawar criticized that the policies of the Modi government at the center is not in the interest of the farmers. He was speaking at a campaign meeting of his party candidate Nilesh Lanka today. He said that there is a ban on export of sugar produced by farmers, export of onion is banned, it is a crop of poor farmers and it is not in the interest of farmers not to get price for it.

 

In Nasik, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde adressed a public rally for poll campaigning of Shivsena Shinde fraction candidate Hemant Godse.

 

Slamming opposition for allegations of replacing constitution Mr Shinde said that BJP will never change the constitution. He however claimed that Congress from time to time insulted Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.He also said that minorities are being misled on the occasion of this election.He assured that even if the Muslim community faces a problem, his Shiv Sainik will go and help them since it is the government of the common people and it will always run for the common people. Mr. Shinde also criticised Udhdhav Thackeray for ruining late Bal Thackeray’s visionary party.

 

In Shirpur, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that during the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, welfare schemes are being implemented for all sections of the country and ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is being achieved. Mr. Fadnavis was speaking at a Vijay Sankalp Mela  as a part of poll campaigning  of BJP candidate Dr. Hina Gavit. Attacking opposition, Mr. Fadnavis said that the opponents have no issues left. So they have started false propaganda that ‘if Modi gets 400 seats, he will change the constitution’. Fadnavis said that if there is any leader who truly cares about the poor, it is Modiji.

 

In a press conference in Dhule Congress state president Nana Patole has claimed that this year BJP will be severely defeated in both Dhule and Nandurbar lok Sabha constituencies as there is a lot of anger towards the ruling party.
