Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that government’s policy aims to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2070. The state has taken a significant step toward producing 50% renewable energy by 2030, with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth 47,500 crore rupees expected to generate 18,828 jobs. He was speaking in Mumbai, after the signing of MoUs with four companies in the green energy sector.
