Union Home Minister Amit Shah today took a holy dip in the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati in Maha Kumbh, Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Yog Guru Swami Ramdev and several saints from various maths, temples, and Akharas accompanied the Home Minister in the holy dip. Mr Shah also performed a special puja and participated in the Sangam Aarti. During his visit, Mr Shah also held a special discussion on Mahakumbh arrangements with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand, Mahant Hari Giri, and Mahant Prem Giri.
Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also took a holy dip in the Sangam this afternoon. Mr Rijiju, during Prayagraj’s visit, will hold a review meeting of Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram.
