In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, a total of 66.44 percent voting took place on six Lok Sabha seats. Voting took place peacefully in the state and there was no news of any untoward incident from anywhere.
The highest voting percentage of 78.67 percent was recorded in Chhindwara seat and the lowest voting percentage of 56.18 percent was recorded in Sidhi. While, in Balaghat 72.60, Jabalpur 59.72, Mandla 72.92 and Shahdol recorded 64.11 percent polling.
