Madhya Pradesh: Polling begins on 6 Lok Sabha seats in 2nd phase

Voting is being held on six seats in Madhya Pradesh today. More than 1 crore 11 lakh voters are deciding the fate of 80 candidates. Among them, 4 are women and one candidate is from the third gender.

 
 
Akashvani Correspondent reports that in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, voting is being held in Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Rewa, Satna and Hoshangabad parliamentary constituencies. More than 50 thousand employees are handling the responsibility of voting. In this phase,12 thousand 828 polling stations have been set up on all six seats. Out of these, 1 thousand 136 centres are managed by women and 32 centres are by Divyanga employees. While 2 thousand 865 are critical polling stations. Among the prominent candidates of this phase are Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar from Tikamgarh, BJP state president VD Sharma from Khajuraho and Congress’ Siddharth Kushwaha from Satna.
