Madhya Pradesh: MeT Department warns of heavy rain in three districts during the next 24 hours

In Madhya Pradesh, after continuous rain for many days, rain has stopped in most of the districts today. However, many rivers including Narmada, Shipra, Kalisindh, and Chambal are still in spate.
 
The maximum impact of rain is being seen in the Malwa region. Many villages in Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Dhar, and Barwani districts have lost connectivity with main roads. There was a holiday in schools and Anganwadis in these districts today. In Ratlam, 14 trains had to be diverted and 8 trains had to be cancelled. At the same time, soybean and Urad crops have been damaged because of water logging in the fields in Ujjain. Moratakka Bridge on the Indore-Khandwa highway in the Khandwa district has been damaged by floods in the Narmada River. Five gates of the Kundalia Dam in Agarmalwa district have been opened due to heavy rain. The MeT Department has warned of heavy rain in Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Ratlam districts during the next 24 hours.
