In Madhya Pradesh, the process of submitting nomination papers for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections ended today. On the last day, major candidates of all parties including BJP and Congress submitted nominations.
Akashwani correspondent reports that in Madhya Pradesh, BJP candidates filed nomination papers today in Jabalpur, Chhindwara and Balaghat. Many senior leaders including Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and State BJP President Vishnudutt Sharma were present during nominations.
The Chief Minister held a road show in Balaghat and addressed a public meeting in Chhindwara. In the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won all the 28 seats except Chhindwara out of total 29 seats in the State.
Meanwhile, Congress has today released the list of star campaigners for Madhya Pradesh. The list includes the names of 40 leaders including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and former Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, State Congress President Jitu Patwari and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar.
