Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister attends programme on International Tiger Day in Bhopal

In Madhya Pradesh, a programme was organised in Bhopal’s Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium on the occasion of International Tiger Day. Forest workers and officials were also felicitated for their excellent contribution in the conservation of forests and wild animals. Madhya Pradesh enjoys the status of having the most number of tigers in the country. It has 785 tigers in total. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated the state on becoming a Tiger State. He said, that Madhya Pradesh is the state with the highest number of tigers, it is a matter of great pride. He further informed that there are seven tiger reserves in the state and about twenty-five lakh tourists visit the state, which helps the state generate about fifty-five to sixty crore rupees. Along with that, he inaugurated a photo exhibition.
