The Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Assembly R Ashok has demanded handing over of the MUDA land scam issue to the CBI. Addressing media persons in Bengaluru today, R Ashok alleged that MUDA, a government land development agency in Mysuru, has floated land denotification norms to favour Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife. He explained that the property of the Chief Minister’s wife was denotified and compensated with plots valued much higher than the denotified land. He further alleged that MUDA has shown undue favour in allocating higher-value land, causing loss in revenue to the agency. Addressing media persons, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ruled out any scam in the allocation of alternative land by MUDA. He said that it was during the BJP rule in the state in 2021 that the parcel of land was allocated to his wife.
