Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and the Members of Parliament paid floral tributes to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his Birth Anniversary at the Central Hall of Parliament House.

The portrait of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak was unveiled in the Central Hall in 1956 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to honour his outstanding services to the nation. In a tweet, Mr Birla praised Lokmanya Tilak's contributions as a freedom fighter, social reformer, scholar, and educationist, highlighting his role in promoting Indian culture and nationalism.
