Lok Sabha Elections: Campaigning for first phase running in full steam with political parties garnering support for their candidates

The campaigning for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections is in full swing and the public meetings of the senior leaders of the Congress party have also started.

 

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will campaign for Mahavikas Aghadi candidate Dr. Prashant Yadavrao Padole in Bhandara-Gondia Lok Sabha Constituency today. Congress Party National President Mallikarjun Kharge will address a public meeting at Chhambal Chowk in Nagpur tomorrow.

 

In the first phase of elections, the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Vidarbha namely Nagpur, Ramtek, Bhandara-Gondia, Gadchiroli-Chimur and Chandrapur will go to polls on the 19th of April.

 

Besides holding public meetings, rallies and Chowk Sabha, Congress State President Nana Patole, Legislature Congress Party leader Balasaheb Thorat, Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar, former Minister Sunil Kedar along with senior leaders of the party are also emphasising going door-to-door campaign to meet the voters.

 

With the Lok Sabha elections in Uttarakhand on the horizon, star campaigners from various political parties are intensifying their efforts in the election battleground.

 

Today, high-profile leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and other parties are gearing up to garner support for their candidates.

 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a prominent face of the BJP, is slated to hold a public meeting in Haldwani, throwing his weight behind the BJP candidates in the region.

 

All India Congress Committee General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is set to address election meetings in Ramnagar and Roorkee, lending her voice to the Congress campaign in these key constituencies.

 

On the other hand, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati is not to be left behind, as she prepares to address a public gathering in Manglaur, Haridwar, bolstering support for her party’s candidate in the area.

 

With these heavyweight campaigners entering the fray, the political landscape in Uttarakhand is heating up, promising an intense battle for votes in the upcoming elections.
