On the fourth day of the nomination process, a total of 23 candidates filed their nomination paper in the national capital Delhi today. BJP candidate Kamaljeet Sehrawat filed her nomination from West Delhi Lok Sabha seat today. The last date for filing of nominations under the sixth phase of Lok Sabha election is 6th of this month. Seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi will go to poll in a single phase on 25th May. The counting will take place on 4th June.
Apart from nomination, political parties also participated in various activities such as public meetings, door-to-door campaigns and road shows in their respective areas. BJP candidate from Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal held a road show in Ashok Vihar. While, BJP candidate from New Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj conducted a road show from Central Ordinance Depot Road to Sadar Bazar. South Delhi BJP candidate Ramveer Singh Bidhuri will file his nomination tomorrow in the presence of BJP leader and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Meanwhile, Mr Bidhuri’s opponent from the South Delhi seat, AAP candidate Sahiram Pehalwan held a meeting with party officials and workers at the party’s Lok Sabha election office in Saket today and discussed the preparations for the upcoming programs. AAP candidate from West Delhi, Mahabal Mishra took part in a discussion with the residents of the Matiala assembly constituency.
On the other hand, Congress candidate from West Delhi, Udit Raj will file his nomination tomorrow in the presence of Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav. North East Delhi Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar held a meeting with Aam Aadmi Party Delhi president Gopal Rai to discuss strategy for the upcoming elections. Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk Jaiprakash Aggarwal met with several AAP leaders to discuss the election preparations.
