In Telangana, the BJP has doubled the number of its Lok Sabha MPs from four to eight, the highest ever tally for the party in the state while the Congress has received both joy and disappointment.
The Congress lost some of its strongholds despite improving from three in 2019 to eight seats at present in the state. BJP could bag four more constituencies besides all existing four seats.
Meanwhile, winners in 11 out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana have seen huge margins of over one lakh votes with the voters overwhelmingly choosing the winner with no scope for any ambiguity. Among these 11 seats with over one lakh margins, the top two are Nalgonda and Khammam, which have been bagged by the Congress.
In Nalgonda, K Raghuveer Reddy emerged as the winner with the highest margin in the state as he won by over 5.59 lakh votes margin. Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy won Khammam with a margin of over 4.67 lakh votes.
E. Rajender of BJP won Malkajgiri by over 3.91 lakh votes, while BJP General Secretary B Sanjay Kumar won by a margin of 2.25 lakh votes. BJP sitting MP Arvind Kumar got re-elected by over 1.09 lakh votes margin. BJP Vice President DK Aruna won Mahabubnagar by 4500 votes, which is the lowest margin in the state.
AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi won Hyderabad by over 3.38 lakh votes, which is more than that of 2019.Congress and BJP have won 8 seats each while the AIMIM got one seat, Hyderabad.
