Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day following the Opposition's protest over the issue of violence in Manipur.
 
When Lok Sabha met at 2 PM after the first adjournment today, Opposition members again created a ruckus in the House over the issue. Treasury bench members also raised counter slogans. The Presiding Officer asked the agitating members to maintain order in the House but in vain. Later, the House was adjourned for the day.

Earlier, when the House met for the day, members from Congress, DMK, TMC, JD(U), and others trooped into the well, raising slogans. They were demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in the House. Amid pandemonium, the Presiding Officer appealed to the protesting members to go back to their seats but they continued with their protest. Amid the ruckus, the Presiding Officer tried to run the Question Hour but in vain. Later, the House was adjourned till 2 PM.
 
In Rajya Sabha when the House met for the day, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar disallowed the adjournment notices moved by Opposition parties on Manipur violence and other issues. Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge again demanded a discussion on the Manipur issue and a statement from the Prime Minister on the issue.

Dissatisfied Opposition members including Congress, TMC, DMK, NCP, Left, Aam Aadmi Party, and Samajwadi Party staged a walkout from the House. Later, the House took Zero Hour and the Question Hour. In the post-lunch Session, when the House met at 2 PM, Opposition members created uproar over the Manipur issue. Later, they staged a walkout from the House. The House took up The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2023 for consideration and passing.
