In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha yesterday met young innovator Master Karman Singh, at Raj Bhawan Jammu who has secured a British patent for an innovative Smart Dustbin equipped with Monitoring and Categorized Waste Disposal. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the LG congratulated the 15 year old Karman Singh, a 10th grade student at Jodhamal Public School, Jammu for his exceptional achievements and extended best wishes for his future endeavours.
The comprehensive system combines real-time tracking of dustbin positions with automated detection of fill levels, ensuring timely waste collection and maintaining cleaner urban environments. Karman becomes one of the youngest recipients of the British patent in India, the achievement catapulting him into a different league of innovators altogether. Karman’s invention represents a leap forward in urban waste management and the government’s dream of establishing smart cities in the country.
