On completing 23 years as the head of a government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the learnings over these years enabled the nation to come up with pioneering initiatives which have made an impact both nationally and globally. In a series of social media posts, Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude to people for sending their blessings and good wishes. He said that he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7th October 2001. Thanking the BJP, Mr Modi said that it was the greatness of the party to task a Karyakarta like him with the responsibility of heading the state administration. He also highlighted that Gujarat was facing numerous challenges when he assumed office as chief minister. Prime Minister added that during his 13 years as Chief Minister, Gujarat emerged as a shining example of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ ensuring prosperity for all sections of society.
Talking about his reign as the Prime Minister, Mr Modi noted that over the past decade, several challenges faced by the nation have been addressed including poverty eradication, economic rise, a start-up ecosystem, women empowerment and upliftment of marginalized people. He added that the world is keen to engage with India, invest in the people and be a part of its success.
Talking about the future, Prime Minister Modi said that India is working extensively to overcome global challenges be it climate change, improving healthcare, realising SDGs and more. He assured the people that he will keep working tirelessly, and will not rest till our collective goal of a Viksit Bharat is realised.
