Leaders of three major political alliances in state — LDF, UDF and NDA, intensify campaigning in Kerala

In Kerala, with just eight more days left for polling, leaders of the three major political alliances in the state — LDF, UDF and NDA, have intensified campaigning in different parts of the state.

Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took part in public meetings in support of NDA candidates in Kasaragod, Vadakara and Kannur yesterday.

Campaigning for the LDF candidate in Kozhikode, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury accused the Congress of trying to destabilise the CPI-M led state government, as it failed to take on  BJP effectively at the national level.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address election meetings in Kannur and Kottayam today. LDF leader and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will be participating in election rallies today at four places in Ponnani constituency.

BJP National President J P Nadda and  CPI-M Politburo member Subhashini Ali are scheduled to address public meetings tomorrow in Kottayam constituency in support of their respective candidates.
