In Ladakh, in a proactive move to enhance democratic participation, Ladakh’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner Kargil has established a District Level SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) Core Committee. Headed by District Election Officer Shrikant Suse, the Committee is gearing up to ramp up voter awareness efforts ahead of the much-anticipated Lok Sabha Elections in 2024. Comprising a dedicated team of officers, the newly formed District Level SVEEP Core Committee aims to bolster voter engagement and knowledge dissemination. With a strong emphasis on reaching every corner of the district, the Committee plans will ensure that SVEEP awareness programmes effectively reach the grassroots level.
