Ladakh: Indian Army organizes free medical camp in Drass

In Ladakh, in commemoration of the 25th year of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Indian Army organised a free medical camp in Drass, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of the community.

Hosted by the 56 Mountain Brigade, the event witnessed a robust turnout of diverse patients benefiting from specialized medical attention.

The GOC 8 Mountain Division, Major General Sachin Malik was the Chief Guest and was graced by the Brigade Commander of Drass as the Guest of Honour, the camp offered a spectrum of medical services spanning various surgical and speciality fields.

 

Additionally, the provision of free medicines and comprehensive facilities including canteens underscored the Army’s dedication to holistic healthcare accessibility.

 

Beyond medical aid, the event showcased a vibrant cultural program, featuring performances by students and Army personnel, fostering a sense of camaraderie and cultural exchange.

The local populace lauded the Indian Army’s proactive initiatives, particularly in the realm of education, underscoring its pivotal role in uplifting the local populace.
