In Ladakh, in a patriotic display of unity and commitment to the nation, a Signature Campaign under the Har Ghar Tiranga Programme was launched in Kargil from the LAHDC Kargil Secretariat.

The event was organized by the Tourism Department Kargil in collaboration with the Youth Services and Sports Department.

The campaign was inaugurated by CEC LAHDC Kargil, and Dr. Mohd Jaffar Akhoon, who led the signature drive on the Tiranga Canvas. He was joined by DC Kargil, Shrikant Suse, ASP Kargil, Director of Tourism Kunzaes Angmo, various Councillors, officers, and other dignitaries.

Addressing the media, Dr Akhoon expressed his pride in being part of the world’s largest democracy and highlighted the significance of the campaign. He described it as a small but meaningful gesture to honour the sacrifices of those who fought for India’s independence. “The flag is a symbol of our Constitution that grants equal rights to every citizen and reminds us of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, leading to the prosperity and development we enjoy today,” Dr Akhoon stated.

He urged the people of Kargil and beyond to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, emphasizing its importance in fostering a sense of national pride and unity.

The event was marked by enthusiastic participation, reflecting the collective spirit of patriotism and respect for the nation’s heritage.
