In Ladakh, in an effort to boost enrolment in government schools, an Enrolment Drive was conducted at Government Girls Middle School Zgang Chiktan under Mission for Education Improvement in Government School (MEIGS) today. On the occasion, SDM Sharkar Chiktan Abdul Gaffar Zargar (Chairman MEIGS) that the programme was aimed at raising awareness among the local communities about the importance of education and various facilities being provided to the students in Government Schools and encouraging parents to enroll their children in government schools.

Mr. Zargar expressed his appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of the teachers and volunteers under MEIGS in and emphasized the significance of education in the overall development of the district. He urged parents and communities to prioritize education and enroll their children in government schools for a brighter future and avail the benefits of various schemes aimed at promoting education.
