The session was attended by key stakeholders, including Executive Councillor for Education Zakir Hussain, Executive Councillor for Information Punchok Tashi, Director of School Education Ladakh Tsering Paldan, and principals from government higher secondary and high schools.
Dr. Akhoon reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to making education the top priority, emphasising the need to align the district’s curriculum with the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) pattern.
The discussions focused on adopting the CBSE curriculum from grades 5 to 8, with a special focus on improving English language proficiency and the overall personality development of students.
