In Ladakh, in a move to bolster educational opportunities and empower the youth of Kargil district, Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, spearheaded the distribution of 42 laptops to meritorious students. The laptops, provided under the subsidy components of LAHDC-Kargil 2023-24, were distributed at a ceremony organized by the Education Department at the Conference Hall.

 

The event, attended by Executive Councillors Kacho Mohammad Feroz and Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi, witnessed the presence of Councillor Chiktan, Kacho Liyakat, Chief Education Officer Kargil, SD Namgyal, Deputy CEO Kargil, principals, teachers, and enthusiastic students along with their parents.

 

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jaffer reiterated the paramount importance of education and lauded the dedication and achievements of the meritorious students. He expressed gratitude towards the parents and teachers for their invaluable support and pledged to further enhance educational infrastructure and opportunities in the region.
