In an inspiring initiative, Project Vijayak, of the Border Roads Organisation, supported a vibrant art exhibition in Kargil to spotlight the talents of young artists from the region.
The event, organized by Team Stringmo in collaboration with Mrs. Roma Bahl, was inaugurated by Chief Executive Councillor Dr Mohd Jaffar Akhone along with Brigadier Vinay Bahl, Chief Engineer of Project Vijayak, along with other dignitaries and community leaders.
The exhibition marks a significant step in Project Vijayak’s efforts to nurture creativity and empower Kargil’s youth. By repurposing its headquarters into an artistic training space, the project has provided budding artists space and support. Under the guidance of Mrs. Roma Bahl and the vision of Brigadier Vinay Bahl, this initiative has already achieved remarkable results, with one student recently earning admission to the prestigious College of Fine Arts in Jammu.
CEC praised Project Vijayak for going beyond its traditional infrastructural role to support local youth through creative development. He expressed gratitude to the BRO for its commitment to enhancing the region’s quality of life.
Later, Team Stringmo presented tokens of appreciation to Brigadier Vinay Bahl and other guests as a gesture of gratitude for their support.
