Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated with traditional fervor in Gujarat today. The day is celebrated with great exuberance at the most revered Dwarkadhish temple in Dwaraka and other famous Shri Ranchhodrai ji temples across the state.

Krishna Janmashtami is being celebrated across the state with full religious zeal and fervor. Large number of devotees have gathered at the Lord Krishna temples in Dwarka, Dakor, Shamlaji and ISKCON temples across the state. The celebrations of Janmastami began with Mangal Aarti at the famous Dwarakadhish temple in Dwarka.  Lord Dwarkadheesh temple has been decorated with colorful lights and flowers. On this special occasion,  the statue of Lord Krishna will be adorned with diamond and gold studded ornaments and Lord Krishna will be offered Rajbhog. Krishna Janmotsav and other rituals will be performed at 12 midnight which will go on till 2.30 in the midnight, where devotees will also enact dance and sing devotional songs.
