In Football, Iraq will meet hosts Thailand in the final of the King’s Cup 2023 at Chiang Mai in Thailand.
 
In the semi-final on 7th Sep 2023, Iraq defeated Indian men’s team in a penalty shoot out 5-4 after the match was tied 2-2 at full regular time.
 
In the other semi-final, hosts Thailand beat Lebanon 2-1. India will now play for the 3rd place against Lebanon.
