Khelo India Para Games 2025: Athletics and Shooting Events Shine on Day 2

On the second day of the Khelo India Para Games 2025, the spotlight was on athletics and shooting competitions marking their commencement today. Athletes competed in various track and field events at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, demonstrating exceptional effort and skill.

 

In the Shot Put event, Ravi Rongali secured the gold medal, while Abhishek claimed silver and Manoj Singaraja won bronze. In the 100-metre run, Chaitanya clinched gold, Meet Tadhani took silver, and Kalaram Patel secured bronze.

 

Speaking exclusively to Akashvani News, silver medal winner Meet Tadhani described the race as a close contest between him and Chaitanya. He expressed gratitude to the government and the Khelo India initiative for providing this valuable opportunity.

 

In track and field, Ramesh Shanguman won gold in the Men’s 800m T53/54 category. In shooting events, being held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, shooters demonstrated exceptional precision and skill in their respective events.

 

As a key initiative under the Khelo India mission, the Para Games serve as a vital stage for talented athletes to showcase their abilities at an elite level. The eight-day championship features participation from more than 1,300 para-athletes across six sports, including Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Para Powerlifting, Para Shooting, and Para Table Tennis.
