In Kerala, the Coast Guard and the State Fisheries Department have launched a search and rescue operation for four fishermen, who went missing after their boat capsized about 11 nautical miles north off Kochi coast around midnight last. 

There were seven fishermen in the boat. Three fishermen were rescued by other fishing boats. Coast Guard Fast Patrol Vessel Abhinav, an Interceptor Boat, and air assets have been deployed in the area. A special team of divers has also been deployed to augment search efforts.
