As heavy rain continues as in Kozhikode and Kannur districts, Kerala. High alert is issued in hilly areas, riverside and coastal areas. People in hilly areas prone to landslides are advised to move to safer places. Authorities had urged to avoid night travel to hilly areas.

In the wake of heavy rains holiday has been declared for all educational institutions in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Palakkad and Idukki districts tomorrow. As sea remains rough fishing is banned on the coasts of Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
